Soft water will strip most mineral and micronutrients from the water. If it
is an old system, you are increasing salt to the plants. Well water is much

I grew my personal best, 901-1/2 pounds, on well water with lots of magnesium
in it. Plus rocks and who knows what all. I can't get my clothes clean, but
the pumpkins don't mind a bit.
