In addition to growing AG's I grow about 300-500 glad's for exhibition. The Glads had a rough go of it this year, I believe that 4 weeks of very hot weather back in July had a adverse effect on them. What I am saying is that I think the weather may be responsible for what you are seeing George, since you are west of me. When the flowers were developing back in June and July, weather conditions were terrible and it wouldn't surprise me that the blooms were damaged when they were forming. While I haven't seen on my AG's the flowers as you describe them, I know that this year has been one of the most challenging because of the weather. Even now, today it is suppose to be in the mid 90's, earlier in the week the temps were barely in the 70's. A lot of extremes in the weather this year.
