Hi Jeff,
Congratulations on successfully growing your first pumpkin.
Harvesting is easy. Just take a sharp knife and cut the stem where it meets
the vine.
Pumpkins are long keepers. Just keep it in a cool place until the
weather cools in your area. Then, put it on display!

I have finally brought a
pumpkin into September without rotting on the vine,
it is not very big, but
it is something I can use to display for Halloween.
If I can keep it that
long. My question is, how should I harvest it and what
should I do to keep it
undamaged until the end of October?
Thanks, any advice is appreciated.
