Newbie to the list

I'm new to the list, actually I don't raise pumpkins at all, found your site as a link to a gourd site.  Hope you don't mind a gourd grower lurking on your list.  But I just wanted to mention before I got back to lurking that my gourds did the same thing some of your pumpkins did this year.  They wilted from the ground up, the ends of the vines are a real pretty green and the vines look dead.  Indiana had a very wet spring, it was "the year from hell" for gourd growers here in the midwest.  Hoping for next year to be better.

I think I'll hang on to your list for awhile, enjoying your posts and find that pumpkin growers are a wild and crazy bunch, just like us gourdheads.
