Not that it counts, but when my pumpkin split 17 days ago it was only 70 inches in circumference. Now it is about 110 and quite tall with measurements of 78" end to end and 75" side to side, which puts it at 263 (OTT). This is really quite amazing considering I am letting the plant grow wild, and holding it together with duct tape and pruning paint. And it's still growing.
I will take it in to our local feed store to get it weighed--when it stops growing or starts really rotting. It should be interesting to see how much weight it loses from long-term dehydration.
Next year, I will start much earlier (I didn't manage to set any fruit until 2nd week in August), and I will not push the pumpkin too fast. Might even include a couple of small "shock absorbers"--as some growers recommend.
Anyway, congratulations Troy. I'm impressed and jealous.
But where does pumpkin envy get you anyway?
Stephen

Hi;
I reached 141 inches in circ. today and it is still growing slowly (wich is
good). Total measurements = 141 circ. 76 side to side 72 stem to tip.
Considering the size to weight ratio of the parents to this pumpkin I am
estimating its weight to be much closer to 700lbs rather than 600lbs. Last
years parent had a circumference of 130 inches and weighed 572lbs.
Lets hear from the rest of you on the measurements of your pumpkins!
Troy.
