The Giant Growers Association(GGA) annual weigh-off held this past Saturday
at the N.C. State Farmers Market in Raleigh, N.C. with $35,000.00 cash prize
awards went off with smashing success. I have attached a copy of page 1 of
the GGA  weigh-off results press release which shows the first place results
and weights in each catergory for those interested. A full listing of results
and weights will appear in the next GGA newsletter which should be out soon.
Barry Todd placed sixth with a pumpkin weighing in at 554 pounds which was
worth $300.00 in prize money.
