growth since split

My experiment continues. As you know, my pumpkin split 3 weeks ago when it
was only 74" in circumference (around 120 lbs). And I have kept it going
just to see what would happen. Today it hit 112" in circmference (around
323lb by that estimate.) But it is also quite tall, being 80" from stem to
flower and 78" from side to side. That gives it an OTT measurement of 270"
(around 408lbs). This means it has grown anywhere from 200 to 300 lbs since
the split, and it doesn't seem to be rotting. At least I haven't run into
any of Vickie's fruit flies, and the smell is not too bad.

And it's still growing, though it's only putting on about 5-6 pounds a day now.

Anyway, best of luck to all of you as you get your pumpkins ready for the
weigh-offs.
