If you don't get it on the scale at the weigh-off it is akin to "the one that
got away." You can talk about it and tell your grandchildren about it the
same as you would that fish you almost caught. It still isn't the same. Life
is tough. So is pumpkin growing. What ifs and almost just aren't quite the
same as the real thing. To be the real thing, your pumpkin has to make it to
the weigh-off, in one healthy peice.
