In regards to the gentleman who had his 1000+ pounder go down last week, does anyone know if he ever weighed it? Getting your pumpkin to an "official" weigh-off site is ultimately the goal for many of us. However, should mother nature decide to take your pride and joy a little sooner than planned, does that diminish the accomplishment? I don't think I could stand not knowing exactly what it weighed if I was he. As soon as I saw that crack, I would gather up some buddies, load that baby into the pickup, and head off for the closest scale I could find. Also, if it does weigh over 1000 pounds, is it not eligible for worlds record status regardless of where it was weighed?
