We take a face out of the Pumpkin Masters book, enlarge it on 
a copy machine (may take many sheets of paper depending on 
the pumpkin size), do the pin prick outline, and then use a 
scroll saw for the cutting.  Obviously, the saw blade does 
not penetrate the entire pumpkin flesh depth in many places, 
but then we get out the long serrated, thin knife and finish 
it off.  You can get amazing results!  AND HUGE!  Last year 
we had 8 fancy carved big pumpkins.  By the way, I think that 
we are looking at a personal best pumpkin weight this year, 
despite the hail.  Daytime temps are still in the upper 80's 
to mid-90's, evening temps dropping in the lower 50's.  We 
are excited!
