Re: the stumpless wonder
thank for caring miss flower. I personally don't bury any vines at all.
i've tried it a few places but don't like what it does to the vines for
me. they seamto rot or get soft. might try it again next year. as for
setting pumpkins on other vines check this out. after I cut the 3 to 3
1/2 foot of main and stump off the first 2 side vines weren't connected
to anything and were already terminated and the eng buried. they each
had a pumpkin on them about the size of a soccerball. now remember
flower these side vines are only about 9 to 11 feet long and consist of
about what maybe 10 leaves each? they kept growing and are currently
measuring one at 85" and the other a whopping 96" in cir. not bad for 10
leaves!! they look healthy and orange they seam to be done now. good
luck with your own and i'll update as usual on wednesday!
