Hi Ernest,
Hubby and I are in Linwood ( part of Northbridge) Ma,aprox 18 miles south
from you. I would hardly call us veterans, but this will be our third year
at Topsfield. You need to get there EARLY, Saturday October third, Are you
a member of the NEPGA yet?? Gotta ask somebody else if you need to be a
member. Pumpkin guy knows LOTS about the day, He surely IS a Veteran. Glad

Howdy, Pumpkineers,
After a long absence, I'm back with a new e-mail address and quite a
bit of growing news from here in beautiful Worcester, Ma.
Back in seed hunting time, I traded seeds with John Failor , and a seed
from his 444 has proven fruitful. (Thanks, John!, any history on that
seed?) The Pumpkin is pretty big , I think, for my first try at these
things. I used langevin's two estimation methods and got very different
results. Dill's method gave me about 256lbs. The other guy's method
estimated 462! Anyways, I plan on bringing it to topsfield just for kicks
and giggles.
So how, when and where at the fair do I go about entering my pumpkin.?
Any of you Topsfield veterans out there care to give a first-timer some
advice?
Ernest
