Bigger pumpkins will ripen after they are cut - your 32 pounder might but I wouldn't count on it. you can always try - put it in a cool dry place- like a basement- if left outside and it is warm then it will rot quicker. Gordon Tanner Maple Valley, WA >>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< This may sound like a dumb question, but I thought I would ask anyway. I just culled a 32 pound pumpkin from my 618 Wallace (selfed 567 Mombert), and it has a nice shape and really nice smooth perfect skin (so does the bigger one growing on the main vine! NICE looking, nice shaped pumpkins on this plant)! SO anyway, I just wondered if this would ripen and get a hard skin, and turn orange if left outside? Or will it just rot? >>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
