Pumpkin Flower,
I think a mini weigh-off is in order then. Let's set some rules. Here
are my suggestions for qualifying. (I'd like your advice/suggestions.)
1. First year grower.

2. Small growing area (under 500 sf? Less? ???).

3. (2) "date set" categories: before 8/1/98 and after.
pf>>>>no pumpkins set prior to 8/1/98
4. As late a date as possible. (May there be an Indian Summer!)

5. No taunting.

Love the idea . It's the logistics that have me a little baffled. You being
on the west coast ,me on the east. That is unless we have a contest for each
coast . How will we judge ? Via photo & weight on the said honesty system?
