I got nailed also. My plant looks like someone took a steamroller over my
patch. no hail. just wind wind wind. and rain rain rain. i tried to cover
my pumpkin with a plastic tarp befor the storm hit, but the wind ripped it
right off. it looks like a nuclear warhead hit. at 650 plus pounds, my
hopes are somewhat now fading. now temps are in the low 70's, down from 95
yesterday. will this stunt growth? my guess is a resounding yes. what
can you do? Can't do anything. you can prepare the soil, erect shade and
heating structures, try and control bugs. but you can't stop mother nature.
