Sounds great Pumpkin Guy.
I can aim for 50th pize .
That seems alot more achievable to us beginners.
There is a similar problem here at the Marshfield Fair. They had several
kids with pumpkins in our local contest and there is not a catagory for
them. How do you determin
the bump up stage to pro? Is it there choice.?
I asked one of the directors about a junior catagory ,here and he said he
felt there are to many parents entering pumpkin s"grown by the child" but
really grown by the parent. Any good come back to his thinking ?
My daughter is almost 4 (quite young) but quite capable of gardening with my
encoragment , it's a fine line ,I think .
She pulls weeds automatically , supplies worms, starts seeds, transplants
pollinates, ect.ect. In a few years she could quite posibly have abig one.
Just thinking ahead.
