Re: daily growth

How long is "as long as possible"? I am a first time grower growing Big
Max pumpkins and smaller varieties for the kids for halloween. The
pumpkins have turned deep orange and the patch is thinning as the leaves
are dying out. The pumpkins have stopped growing and the skin has
hardened. My goal is to keep the pumpkins on the vine until closer to
halloween. Will they rot on the vine? Is it better to cultivate and
store them until halloween?

thanks for your help,
