Tony here in the states most our contests allow 2 pumpkins per family and
usually a pumpkin widow takes in the back up......but it is generally
accepted as the "tag team" share the chores around the place....and the
patch,,,,it all depends on the size of the weigh -off,,,YOU CAN BEAT THIS
GUY!,,,,have you mulched your patch??.This seem to cool the soil ....seems
that you have had some good seed down under have you ever planted your own
seed from these good crosses........??? sometimes that helps.....talk to us
we can psyche out this dude and challenge........brock

Thanks for all the ideas everyone. We have a meeting tonight and I will
put forward all of those ideas.
Just to give you a better idea of what's going on, the first year I saw this
guy he had 3 huge pumpkins and dragged along his brother and his
girlfriend and took home the 3 top places.
He has never won in his own state.
He has dropped down to 2 pumpkins now and drags his mother to the
weigh-off. I have talked to this lady and she knows NOTHING about pumpkins
I also heard her tell someone she dosn't grow them.......
We had plaques for all the winners and a free engraving service, he
would have his plaques engraved but not his mothers..........I wonder why.
Not many enter our comp anymore because of him and his family.
I HOPE YOU READ THIS ONE DAY CHRIS.
....................I feel better now...............
Last season was the one when I was going to beat him.
Armed with a Bax 990 and a Greer 1006 and all you great people behind me
I was going to kick his butt. But mother nature didn't give me a chance.

We don't plant until late October, what seed should I use next season?
I'm aiming real high..............
