I would want to have a strain the is reasonably free of the genetic
problems that cause pumpkin loss. I would want it to be self-pollinated to
reduce first generation variability. Instead of 2 or 3 seeds/100 with good
traits, self-pollination could give you 30 - 50/100. I would like to have
them from the largest wt. pumpkin that grew for 75-90 days on the vine.
This would cut down on any problems of immature seeds. Have fun. Roger
