Hello all! I'm going to swallow my pride and ask a question. I know you're
all concerned with AG's but my concern is much smaller. This summer I had
some "volunteer" pumpking from some compost which wasn't quite done. I
thought it would be fun to let them grow, but they quickly turned yellow and
died. After being bitten by the bug, I planted a few jack-o-lantern types
right in my old compost bin. (You're all shuddering I can tell) Well,
anyway, they've been growing great but I'm having the same problem I've had
for years; the female flowers form, get fertilized and soon after turn yellow
& fall off. Any help would be appreciated. I'm in Virginia now but had the
same problem in Illinois. Thanks in advance.
