Marv,
I have one pumpkin pollinated at the beginning of August that stalled out at
approximately 70 lbs. I have another pumpkin that is still growing. I
estimate it to be between 70 and 150 lbs. It's 27 inches long, 23 inces wide
and 19 inches thick. The weather in Richmond, VA is just beginning to get
good for pumpkin growth. The pumpkin 28 days old. The pumpkin may grow right
up to Halloween if I leave it alone. My dilemma:
Do I cut the growing pumpkin, bring it to Altoona and embarrass myself?
Or do I leave the growing pumpkin for maximum size and bring the 70 lber to
Altoona to really embarrass myself?

If it's too embarrassing I could skip the weigh off and go to the BASS
Invitational tournament at Buggs Island on October 3rd.
