John,
i was thinking the same thing about the small trailer idea. the
best idea i've come up with so far is renting a cargo van. the only
problem is that it has commercial plates, and where i live, you're not
allowed to drive on parkways with them. so that means my hour and a
half trip just went up by about an hour. around here the best deal i
could find with mileage considerations and amount of days to rent (some
places aren't open on weekends, forcing you to rent the entire weekend
instead of 1 or 2 days) was 69.95 per day. call around. the one i'm
renting has a slikding side door and two back doors. Good luck.

I was planning to tow my fruit to the weigh off on a low trailer, but
someone told me that they thought the 90 minute trip might split the
pumpkin. Trailers do not have the springs and suspension that trucks
have, and the jolts of the road, suggested my friend, would be too much
for Fat Boy.
Any thoughts? Either way I am going to have to rent transportation since
I don't have a big pick up.
