Mike: Way cool! 420 lbs for Georgia is a fantastic show! Not too many people know how touch it is to grow pumpkins in the South. Mike, you might be interested to know that Vic's pumpkin here measures 118, 82, 82, total inches of 282 inches, chart weight of 420. We'll keep it on the vine until a frost. That could be a while yet, as we've had two days of 80 degree weather in a row. No cold weather in the immediate forecast. A few more days until the Big E. Can't wait. Mike, my husband just called to tell me that his dad in FL was diagnosed with cancer, a tumor on the spine. The doctors want to operate 10/15. Prognosis grim; he has high BP, heart and lung problems and a history of strokes. No trip to CA for me. Mike is already bracing for the loss. Likewise, my daughter put her employer on standby for death of her grandfather. Bereavement leave for her and her husband is already arranged and they'll be able to help immediately when the time comes. Expect to leave NY around the 12th of Oct. Was going to leave the 7th, but decided to stay and help my nephew and his fiance with their move to FL. Got to go. Before I do, we'll have to put our heads together to get the SPGA off and running in a fresh, new way. Joe said something about wanting to retain the SPGA name, he has no rights to it, does he? The name is not trademarked or patented, to my knowledge. With my son-in-law being a cartoonist and graphic designer, we should have no problems getting a new logo or any other artwork produced. Your web-page sounds perfect. Let me know your progress. In limbo until I get back to FL. Oh, the stats and photos I'll have! So, I'll close now and I'll be watching for the updates. Barb PS...hey, I can sympathize with your sex life. I've been apart from Mike for about 5 weeks and I know he's climbing the walls....in fact, he's driving to NY right after Ottawa. Good thing, 'cause I am missing that intimacy, too. B'bye! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@mallorn.com with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE PUMPKINS
