I just noticed a hairline crack on the blossom end of my 727
Greer. How long do I have before this becomes a crevasse?
Do I harvest it now or wait? It isn't growing very fast at
this point, but we haven't had a frost yet either, so the
leaves are intact. I don't know how much this one weighs,
but do know that this is our biggest one yet! Thanks>>
If it hasn't split into the seed cavity seal it with Tree Tanglefoot to
prevent air from getting into the cavity it it splits more. If it's into the
cavity it may be disqualified from a weigh-off.
