Janet,

I have had a pumpkin that had a small crack at the blossom end...for about
a month now and it seemed to be just a surface crack as it scarred
over.......I did nothing but watch..........when are you going to a
weigh-off???.......I am not sure if that tangle foot is easy to
remove..(need to check with GB)..if its anything like grafting
wax........you could cause more damage trying to remove it before the
weigh-off.....................as no foriegn material is accepted on a
pumpkin..............if your weigh-off is on the third just watch it for a
day or so.......some growers cut a knoch in the feed vines as to make sure
there are no surges at this point........just depends how much longer til
your weigh off....just two more cents worth...MB
