I just noticed a hairline crack on the blossom end of my 727
Greer. How long do I have before this becomes a crevasse?
Do I harvest it now or wait? It isn't growing very fast at
this point, but we haven't had a frost yet either, so the
leaves are intact. I don't know how much this one weighs,
but do know that this is our biggest one yet! Thanks

Janette,
Put something on the crack to keep the air out. Grafting wax or I think GB
pumpkin uses tree tanglefoot.
