When to harvest?
Can anyone advise me how to tell if a pumpkin is ready to be harvested? The
picture on the seed packet shows creamy coloured pumpkins so I do'nt think
that they will turn orange. My pumpkins are still growing putting on about
three inches in circumference every two days. My biggest is about sixty
inches in circumference,small by comparison to others I know, but I am
proud of it. All my pumpkins are firm and sound hollow when tapped gently .
I would hate to lose them at this stage, so any advice as to when to
harvest and how to store would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in
