I think thus far everyone's theory has credibility-
yes the plants don't get enough water by manual watering during drought
conditions -
For next year - (I'm going to try this) how about some drainage pipe
extending down about 4 feet into the ground - and then extending horizontally
across the parameter of the patch - water via a standpipe............ all
pipe will be covered with gravel- top and bottom - about 6 inches
worth...........
I'll toss out this idea........... for group review
