Southern Ontario Growers
Hello,
I am looking for anyone in Southern Ontario who is growing large
pumpkins (or has in the past) and wouldn't mind being interviewed for a
short video documentary I am working on.
I am looking for anyone who has anything to add to the video: their own
experiences this year or other years, why they like growing, special
techniques, tips, seed genealogies, "pumpkin widows", the crime of
vandalism, in short, I will consider any aspect of the growing of large
pumpkins. If you have a large pumpkin that you are growing this year,
all the better. I would like to speak to anyone who has any opinion on
the subject, preferably in Ontario, but a phone interview could work as
well if you have something interesting to add.
My name is Eric Squair, and I live in Toronto. I am doing this short
(10-15 minute) video because I am fascinated by the dedication of
growers. Of course, anyone who is in the video will get a copy and my
thanks. I am planning to record some interviews next weekend (Sept.
17, 18,19) as well as attending the Port Elgin Pumpkinfest the first
weekend in October.
