Well your right about the heat. 65 this morning with thunder showers.
89 this afternoon with high humidity. Was a little worried about the
severe thundershower issued by the NWS this morning. Drove over to the
patch at 5:30 this morning to add a little cushion to the pumpkin in case
of large hail. Turns out the hail stayed about 25 miles south of Elk
Grove. I'll tell you I was one worried dude. As for worrying about
whether or not its a 7 heck most of us worry about mice and rot and
anything else that might ruin our day. I think you'll have to ask those
guys up north what it's like to worry about pumpkins in the 9's. Heck
you were there at HMB last year and we both watched in amazement when
three 900 pounders went up to the scale.
