Fish Tank with GREEN Water

I have a fish tank that has been dormant for a while (too long). All
the fish died and I haven't had time to drain it, but made the mistake
of unplugging the filter, and the tank is becoming more green by the
day. But it occurred to me that this might be a rich resource...does
anyone know whether I can use the water to "fertilize" house plants?
How about seedlings?

Any suggestions? Or would I be best to just dump this water down the
drain?
