I read somewhere that if you put chicken wire about an inch or two under
the top soil, when kitty comes to dig a little hole to do his/her
business, they scratch the wire and hate it...so they leave and don't
return. I haven't tried it yet but plan to.
Had my first success in the greenhouse -- got Morning Glory seeds from
the packet to a 2" plant in 32 hours!! Used one of those wires to warm
the soil. Transplanted them from the flat to tiny pots this afternoon
and they are all doing fine -- in fact some grew over a half inch during
the afternoon. This probably isn't very exciting to anyone else...but
like I said I am the newest thing in my greenhouse (it came with the
house), so this is BIG news to me.
