Das Wirden Verbottenishe, Katzen: NOT a Final Solution

TANF (These Are Not Flames) (this is just the way I talk) It's homework
on Satuday morning... we will ponder as we prune...

Okay, sorry if I sounded sm*rt *ss about this, (Eat the neighbors who
own them, hee hee) I really want to be part of the seeds-list and do not
want to start bouncing mail, or impose on the kindness of the
list-owner, and have priveleges revoked. Forward this to Alpine-L if you
like, I'm not gonna cross two list-owners in the same day. Please go
twice as easy on people's mailboxes, will you, some of us are on both
lists.

If you ask me, we are in for quite a battle (grab the aspirin and brace
for a migraine) if you really want to tend the matter of cats; I put
good mileage on the search engines before I inquired here, although I
didn't find everything, see a "clue" in todays post on "Cuttings in
Water re: mothballs as cat repellant. Are we getting our legs pulled,
again? Wormwood is "Mothballs" too and they go for the nip right next to
it.

If you can find a vet who really wants to talk about it, have him
bronzed in your garden and sainted. "Why, all of this is normal, that's
all", do the rest say? ($^#^$ $^#&$^ $#^#$^ is my normal response).
Let's treat cat-criminals like any criminals, MAYBE SOMETHING IS VERY
WRONG HERE. Okay, never let them out to see the light of day, but there
went the computer mouse (Hmmm) and the...
[CRASH!} $##$^&#$% $#^$&#$ too...

No matter what the cat is up to now, the well meaning owners think, "But
I don't understand, they're so well fed" (Provided they sustain enough
uninsured financial losses to transcend the notion that this is
"playfulness" ) so Gee, why do I think all cat antics should come under
the heading of nutritional therapy?

Does anyone really want to talk about cat biochemistry, the biochemistry
of all the critters they like to eat (Insect Biochemistry,
Wiley-Interscience), or the neurobiology of the urge to dig and scratch
a post? Do I want to be responsible if a bunch of people kill off their
pets because of something I said? Do you?

Does anyone actually give a hoot that the subject is just reeking with
substances in the phenetylamine class, which is more tentative support
for speculation that they may be thyroid deficient, on top of the years
I have owned cats, and they have NEVER eaten mice, only punctured the
neck (whee the thyroids are) and sucked? Do you want to talk about
friendly little fluffs who turn mysteriously into vampirical parasites,
apparently a tradition of long-standing since the ancient Grecian murals
that show large cats doing this to full grown men and even bulls? Find
more repellants? Like snake repellants, it'd be handy but it's nothing
to get rich off, is it?

Do you really wanna sort it out whether or not mouse killing is a favor
to anyone, or if the risk of Hanta is far worse than we hear? Maybe dead
mice can't spread it but the mouse in the mouth is still kicking and the
cats dig up their dust, feces and urine but just can't fit down that
mousehole. That subject immediately- hey! Let's cause a panic-
preceeding the first fall of the topic-axe. NMBY, we'd rather not care?
Here's a seed topic, what if someone had eaten the Pinyon pine seeds
like Native Americans instead of leaving them to gorge the populations
of deer mice, who run starving into homes? Is nature too darn seedy as
it is? Are we too superficially just into ornamentals? What's worse
around your grandkids, the cat's mice or your $^$%^ Digitalis? Think
toxic plants and then tour your neighborhood sometme...

Doctors called Hanta pneumonia no doubt when the Cherokee and any other
Indians described it and may have used a specie of Cercis that may be
more deadly than the disease itself, to clear the lungs, at least I am
told; it will at least re-sound laments for J. C. Ralston, who lovingly
collected the Genus. Anyone wih the requisite PhD. love their children
too?

Does anyone wonder why we don't ever talk about putting out salt licks
for cats as well as cattle, and should it be iodized? Does anyone want
to talk about where the hell cats would be supposed to get iodone for
thyroid, why from anything that might have swam or flew to the ocean and
got some, or from any twitchy creature they are big enought to win a
fight with that has such a hot-wired metabolism that it probably makes
it's own iodine (Goldfein reaction, 4Mg-ATP & H+ bullet theory,
Biological Cyclotron, <or cf. Louis Kervran> Army paper on
Biotransmutation, reprint ex Rex Research). I'm still struggling with
Deno.

Does anyone want to talk about the lethargy of new ideas, here we just
found out that taurine the sulfur amino acid might be essential and
missing from their diets, (I have no reports if this is making positive
effects on their behavior) when it should have been obvious at least
half a hundred years the way catnip tops will sulfurously reek of garlic
(Where is this Darwin when you really need him?)

Does anyone really want to talk about how and why it is easier to get a
person with the title Dr. to write a recipie to eat one (No offense, it
was a charming peice), than to talk about why scientists prattle on
about all the attrocious things that are supposed to be normal (Throw
some catnip in traffic sometime and maybe you tell me what's normal) or
prattle on about mating attraction being the root of catnip's allure,
when boy and girl cats alike like it, and NO they do not throw bridal
showers, they hiss and get territiorial around here. Would it be more
like lactone attraction as in the lactones you can detect where mice
have been spraying away? By-product of a rediculously high metabolism of
twichy little motorized mice? (Hummingbirds and bumblebees defy
aerodynamics HOW?) The lactones in Horehound or Lamb' Ears are even more
obvious to the human nose, they smell of latex house paint.

Mind you I wrote to the Salvia and Tender Perrenial newsletter subgroup
HPS-MAG hoping some Salvia enthusiast would also be big on Catmints and
have some definitive experience here (there were communication
problems?), having thier Salvias attract the hummingbirds that attract
cats to flatten them (for the bird's sake you can put bells on the cat,
but the rest?). Okay, yeah I wonder what it costs to "methyl nonyl
ketone" five acres, okay. That and the ten trucks of this rock mulch to
cover the sand. (Bah! Is garden for bucks-up bougoisse, here on the
obviously Socialist seeds-list!) And not that sopping 5 acres with
anethole (see FDA) will be brilliant either. I'M desperate enough to
settle for a quick fix, mind you...

Does anyone really wanna take this on if not even the "experts" wanna
earn their keep and help? Can I feed them potatoes then or what? Do they
take after humans, over-nitrogenating soil? And why Mr. Darwin, does
Nepeta grandiflora smell like baking soda and fish, because THAT"S A
GOOD IDEA?
Why is Nepeta clarkei striped like a tiger? Okay sure Nepeta cataria is
the SEED study of all time, because it's so motivated to do it's thing
before the cats show up. Wanna talk about their attraction to the Catnip
plant re: Apically dominant plants or not? Around here a minus in apical
dominance means a plus in attaction (Hint: Don't pinch 'em back???) Okay
what science journal was THAT in?

Okay, so it's not that we're still asking cat questions it's WE STILL
HAVEN'T GOT A STRAIGHT ANSWER!

Okay, then, where IS this ON topic, anyway? Show me a cats forum that
hasn't been neutered itself. (Didja know in England they use light
therapy and birth control pill for cats, I am told.-ho! Whip out yer
VDR's -Veterinarians Desk Reference. and ask who the h*ll are we? That I
read six years ago.)

And will we still be talking about it ye about doomsday? Don't you
molecule-manglers wimp out now, LET"S CLEAN UP THE CATBOX, then, ONCE
AND FOR ALL, since the cat IS out of the bag! Quit leaving it to the
poor and disabled like me... (four MORE years 'till you expect to
isolate "Cat stupidity genes"? Being unaffiliated with an institution of
higher learning, I jolly well don't get Chemical Abstracts here at home
do I?)

Oh, and hey, correct me if I'm wrong, PLEASE.

In the spirit of Franklin and Jefferson, red, white, and especially,
blue in the face, still talking about cats, only in America... shoot me
with my own gun...

TANF (These Are Not Flames) (This is just the way I talk)

ChroniPepperoni@webtv.net with an allergic fatal attraction to pizza...
hmmmm....that was 15 specie!
