Mr. McAlpine is running a fine list, in which several highly knowledgeable
people participate - from whom we can all benefit. Let's do as he asks, as
he is fully within his rights to ask, and avoid constantly returning to a
single topic. Can you imagine a hundred letters exchanged even about
propagating Lapageria? At least that would be more pertinent, even if
difficult to conceive.
If someone is bothersome, perhaps s/he could be written to directly.
Sarcasm, childish remarks, attacks on people's moods, personalities,
countries are tiresome and uncalled for. Electronic communication, which
sometimes seems miraculous, makes quick comments too easy; but if we
wouldn't say it to someone's face, we shouldn't say it here.
