Can I just grab a paragraph before I go on holiday.
I would like to back Ingrid up on species Pelargonium seeds. I have been
growing species for some years, from many Sections of the genus. I have
good germination on all of them by sowing in a soil based compost with some
added grit, with the seeds covered with a layer of grit (they do not need
light to germinate). I then put them on some gentle heat, probably around
65F. I do not scarify them, though I do take the seeds out of the mericarp
(the container in which the seed sits).
