Achimenes is an easily gown flower that grows from a tiny pine cone
shaped bulb. It is also called magic flower because after it has been
dormant all winter it will begin growing when warm weather comes without
any watering. I have a potful that I have had for many years without
repotting. I just water it when it wants to grow and put it outside in
the summer. It goes dormant suddenly in the fall, then I hang it in the
garage till spring.
