Rab,
Try using a ladies nylon, gently placed over the stem. Wait until the seed
pod opens. The nylon will catch the seeds and you can then sow them. I use a
seed catcher that I make and sell that I call a "Hosta Condum". I use these
when I am making crosses and I don't want any help from the bees. I also use
them when the pods have developed from open pollinated varieties. Last year I
also used them to catch seeds from lilies, southern belle hibiscus,
hellebores, helianthumums (spelling?), etc. They are totally reusable. My
seed catchers have stood the test of time for over 5 seasons. I started out
using old nylons myself, so I know that they will work on a small scale.
