Also, I read that N. domestica can also be propagated by cuttings. I 
have been trying to without any success. I wonder if anyone knows of 
any special way of doing it to be successful in rooting its 
cuttings.>>


This wasn't directed at me, but anyway....  Isn't bamboo best 
propagated via root divisions and/or root cuttings?  Not that I'd know 
anyway....
