Computer virus

In regard to the so called e-mail viruses "Good Times" and "Join the Crew",
I'm afraid that while some of you may have been well-intentioned, you have
fallen for a big hoax.

Viruses cannot infect computers through e-mail, but only through executable
programs.
For a more detailed explanation, please check out the following Web Sites:

http://www.symantic.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html

Passing on the hysterical warnings such has been done in this newsgroup
only serve to perpetuate this hoax. Most disturbing are claims that this
information "was just received from IBM" (or some other supposed
authority). There is absolutely NO documentation of these alleged
warnings.

Please, do everyone a favor and familiarize yourself with computer viruses
and do not pass on unfounded rumor.
