Hello everyone,
I am no computer virus expert, but in my opinion, if you forward the
message, you are playing into the prankster's game. I have been active on
the Net for over a year and half now, and have stopped counting the "panic
messages" such as the one you are referring to. There are all to many
hoaxes about email-transmitted viruses, and the seemingly well-meaning
warnings about their existence are uselessly cluttering mailboxes
everywhere.
Personally, I have always ignored these warnings and never forwarded them.
It's my way to stop these "electronic chain letters". And, ironically, I am
still alive and well, and so is my computer, in case you are all wondering!
;-)
If any of you would like to read more about Computer virus hoaxes and other
myths, I recommend the very serious and informative web site called "The
Computer Virus Myths Home page":
http://kumite.com/myths/
Hopefully, it will give you the answers - and reassurance - you need.
Have a good day and let's return to propagation now, shall we?
Denise
