Re: Natural Life Magazine #61 - Saving Seed Becomes Illegal

Two or three months ago a fellow wrote me about all this. It seems he had
concerns that these new plants may cross pollenate with other plants. It
is not out of the question. Any one who has ever had their squash plants
cross with a neighbors pumpkin knows what I mean. There was also some talk
then about the USDA attempting to make heirlooms the same way. I wrote to
the USDA and asked them about this. The reply I got was that they were
currently doing studies on this. They also sent me a lot of crap about
chickens and other assorted non-related stuff. Basicly it was all about
how they were making things better for farmers in the US. If anyone else
can get a better answer out of them, go for it.
