Apples are difficult to strike from cuttings
Take them when the leaves fall. Slit the bottom half inch, treat with
hormone, put in sandy compost in propogator with lid off. maintain
25c/80F if possible for 4-5 weeks, then reduce temperature gradually,
plant out at 7-8 inch depth in well drained sandy soil. Type of growth
is uncertain from cuttings.
Unless you want that particular variety I would opt either to grow the
pips just for fun or buy a good variety such as John Downie.
