George-
Of course I took more cuttings of the Clero quad. (about 10)--what I will do
with these if they are all successful, well I guess I will have to think
about that next spring.
I was so excited when I saw the root from the quad that I let out a small
scream (LOL)....the same type of scream I do when a huge frog surprises me.
The kids came running into the greenhouse because they thought I found
another frog. :o)
I did take a few more cuttings of the ugandense and these were from new
growth. At this time I'm not willing to sacrifice my blooms so the cuttings
were taken from some of the lower branches that were pruned a short time ago.
I cut all of the leaves off except for the new, smaller leaves and put them
under the mister.....so maybe this will be the time I have success.
I've recently acquired two new clerodendrums - nutans and minihaus. These
are not quite big enough to take cuttings from (unless I want to sacrifice my
winter blooms) so next year these will be my focus.
Again - thanks for everyone's help.....all I can say in addition is "oh what
a feeling"
Happy gardening
