We are just finishing our long hot dry summer here in Mediterranean France,
and are expecting humid weather soon. I am just starting to increase some
Thyme plants by burying their lower branches in a sandy loamy mix and
watering gently. I'll let you know if it works !

Some 'Mediterranean' and similar regions have a 'second spring' in the
Autumn when the heat drops and the humidity rises.

Cuttings can even be take when you are pruning back for the winter (eg
Brugmansias)
