Funny you should mention this. I was at the Chicago Botanic Garden
yesterday and saw this plant for the first time in the flesh (so to speak),
although I had seen reference to it. As luck would have it, a few seeds
floated up on their little parachutes and into my hands! Hortus III says
they are not hardy north (good for you, not so for me), but may be treated
as annuals if started early enough. I would suspect they would be fairly
easy to germinate, since most of their cousins are so. I would just barely
cover them in seed starting mix or whatever you use and not let them dry
out until germinated. That's what I'll try until someone tells me
different.
