Re: Tulip question
For what it is worth, I've done it before, and still had some of the bulbs
flower. The ones that flowered didn't appear to flower any different than
if they hadn't been disturbed, but a lot of them didn't flower. I'm afraid
it has been several years, and I can't make a good guess at what percentage
failed to flower. I suppose it would depend a lot on how carefully the
plants were handled. And yes, those shoots do snap quite easily.
