Hello everyone-anyone have any advice about propagating this tree? seeds or
cuttings? cuttings in the Spring from new growth? Could I put some seeds in
the ground now to try for germination in the Spring? I'm in the
Philadelphia suburbs, what used to be zone 6 but now I think must be zone 7.
Thanks in advance for any help-Glenn

From BOTANICA by R.J.Turner & Ernie Wasson
Golden rain tree, varnish tree
zones 4 - 10, likes alkline soil
Moderately frost hardy, full sun in fertile, well aerated soil with free
drainage. They can withstand hot, dry summers but seaside conditions do not
suit them. propagate from root cutting in late winter or from seed in fall.
Prune to single trunk.
Good luck,
Jackie
