Delonix regia

I recently acquired this specimen from a friend in another state.  It is
5 foot tall including the roots.  He cut off the top & it is branching
out the sides.  I have it in a greenhouse that has a minimum temperature
of 50-60 degrees F in the winter.  Will I be able to flower this tree
and keep it potbound and small (no taller than say, 7 feet?)  Any
information on this would be appreciated.  Thank you, Judy Showers
