On my plants, the seed heads never actually turn brown, they just stay a
dusky green or maybe a bit yellowish. They never seem to get really dry,
so just work the individual seed out from the outer coating. Each
individual seed is round, perhaps about 1/8 inch in diameter and light in
color. I just cleaned mine off with no soaking (altho a 24 hr soak
shouldn't hurt them), then place in a zip-lock bag with coarse peat moss
and keep at room temp. You should be able to observe them as they
germinate, plant in your favorite seed mix.
