I know
About 30 % of my garden is infected with virus and nematodes. To change
the soil down to 3-4 feet is the simplest way to get a healthy ground
back.....
Most of the viruses and fungus are very hardy, and if you must compost
you should put the compost on a clayey bottom, or concret. It is
recommendable to turn over the compost 2-3 times a year and do not use
it in the garden until 3-4 year have pasted. If it is possible the
compost should be isolated, so the temperature can increase maximal. And
of course, a dry compost is a lost compost.
Good luck
